A Peacock in the Land of Penguins

In A Peacock in the Land of Penguins you will have the opportunity to meet Perry the Peacock, Jack the Jaybird, Helen the Hawk and Sarah the Swan and realize we have all of these wonderful birds working among us.  How good are we at appreciating what each brings to the table to make our company successful?  It’s a fun colorful way to get to know how you fly through your days work.  Are you Perry, Jack, Helen or Sarah?  We'll find out together!

 

LEE ANN BRANCH

Lee Ann Branch held the position of Executive Director of the Hot Springs Village Area Chamber of Commerce from January 2008 through October 2010.  She came to the Chamber from Arvest Bank, Summit Bank andSouthern Bancorpwhere she served as their bank’s corporate trainer.  Her duties included training employees in New Employee Orientation, Customer Service, Manager/Supervisor Classes, Understanding Behavioral Styles as They Affect Teamwork, Diversity Training and Navigating through Change.   Training eventually turned into a full time job and became her “passion.” 

 

As a former business owner, day in and day out experiences of dealing with customers and employees prepared her for her second career.   

 

Lee Ann often instructs businesses in the area on the subjects named above including; St. Joe’s Medical Center Clinics, Old Washington State Park staff, Arkansas Hospice staff and board or directors, Embassy Suites, National Park Community College, Arkansas State Ambulance Association, Arkansas State Parks, Hot Springs Village POA Staff, West Central Arkansas Society for Human Resource Management (WCASHRM), Arkansas Dietary Association, Arkansas Turf Masters, Arkansas Pest Control, Howard County Children’s Home, Ashley Furniture Hometown Stores, and Leadership Clark County Class 2011and 2012, to name a few.    Branch attendedSouthwestMissouriStateUniversity(nowMissouriStateUniversity) inSpringfield,Mo, majoring in speech and theatre. 

 

Lee Ann guest lectures on the subjects named above for Henderson State University in the School of Business and the Small Business Development Centers at both Henderson and UALR.  She serves as a Hospice Volunteer with Arkansas Hospice, a Stephen Minister, and was awarded the Governor’s Volunteer Excellence Award in 2007.   On June 3rd, 2008, The U.S. Small Business Administration recognized Lee Ann as one of their Arkansas Small Business Persons of the Year by honoring her with the “Women in Business Champion” award.  Branch also served on the Allocations Committee for United Way of Garland County and served as the HSV Campaign Chair for 2011.  She attends Village United Methodist Church where she sings in the choir, plays hand bells, teaches Sunday school and serves as both Lay Leader and Certified Lay Speaker.  She is VP of the HSV Rotary Club with 10 years perfect attendance and a Paul Harris Fellow.   

 

She is married to Jesse Branch and inherited a family she could never have.  She is a proud stepmom & grandma to 2 sons, a daughter-in-law, and 5 grandchildren.
