IN PERSON LOCATION: Greater Hot Springs Chamber | 659 Ouachita Ave. | Hot Springs, AR 71901

Description: After 8 years in a domestic violence relationship with an intimate partner, and 30 years as a human resources professional, Mollie Campbell knows a thing or two about when domestic violence comes to work. Mollie talks with human resources teams, company leaders, and executives about the different forms of domestic violence to bring awareness on the topic and bring the stigma of domestic violence out of the dark and into the light.  It is estimated that 1 in 3 women will be a victim of domestic violence in their lifetime.  These women are in your workplace.  How are you helping them?

Learning objectives: We will discuss how you provide resources to employees in a private and confidential environment.  What safety measures do employers need to consider for all employees?  And, lastly, we will talk about how you craft a domestic violence policy for your workplace.

At the age of 58, Mollie left an 8-year relationship with her abuser and launched head-first into a terrifying journey of domestic violence survival.  Today she combines her 30-plus years of experience as a human resource professional and her lived experience with domestic violence to educate and advocate for other victims and survivors – to shine light on the topic of domestic violence and bring it out of the shadows into the light.

As a national public speaker, Mollie talks with human resources teams, company leaders, and executives about what happens when domestic violence comes to the workplace.  What are the different forms of domestic violence?  How do you provide resources to employees in a safe and confidential environment?  How do you craft a domestic violence policy for your workplace?

Mollie also speaks to women’s groups to educate audiences on overcoming the shame, fear, guilt, and stigma of being a victim or survivor of domestic violence.  What are the red flags of an abusive relationship?  What should you consider if you are planning to leave an abuser?  Where are the resources to help you exit safely and move on?  What does life look like as a thriving survivor?

Before starting her public speaking career, Mollie held HR positions for Express Human Resources, the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences, Philander Smith College, Heifer International, Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the Global Foodbanking Network, as well as several years as a private HR consultant.

Mollie is active as a board member for the Arkansas Federal Credit Union and volunteers with the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence.  She is a native of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is certified by the Society for Human Resources Management as a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

One hour of SHRM PDC & HRCI is approved.

WCASHRM is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
